19th June

Welcome to this week's blog. On Tuesday we had our annual Sports Day. We were very lucky the sun was shining and we had a lovely morning. Our first competition was javelin throwing, then we had the hurdles race. Next, there was the egg and spoon race and we finished with the sprint race. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

English

We independently wrote about the 'Big Bad Wolf' from the 'Little Red Riding Hood' story. We thought about using capital letters, full stops, finger spaces, question marks and exclamation marks.

We have also started a new text, 'Oi Dog'. It is a really funny rhyming story.

Maths

We had found out what is half and a quarter of a picture or object. Then we have moved on to finding half or a quarter of a number or amount.

Science

We have continued the topic of 'Animals including humans'. We found out about birds this week, we looked at the features of a bird - beak, 2 legs, 2 wings, feathers etc and found out their babies are born in eggs.

Have a good weekend.
