Welcome to the last blog of Summer 1 half term. We've been very busy this week. The highlight of the week was out 'Attendance Project' stay and play on Tuesday when our grown ups could come to our class and find out how we can keep ourselves healthy so we can be in school everyday.
English
This week we have continued to learn about 'letter writing'. We wrote to Mrs Baker about a day out we would like to go on. In our letter we included a question and a sentence that needed an exclamation mark. We did our best to remember capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.
Maths
In maths we have continued to practise counting in 2's, 5's and 10's. We have found out about looking at equal groups and how many there are in total. We have also been sharing quantities into equal groups and working out how many in each group.
Science
We reviewed our work on plants and remembered the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees. We also thought about what a wild plant is and what a garden plant is.
Topic
We reviewed what we have learnt about the hot and cold places in the world. We have located the equator and the north and south poles on a world map.
Have a lovely weekend and hopefully the weather forecast is correct and we will have lovely weather for the half term break.
