What a busy first half term we have had in year 1!
English
This week we have produced some non-fiction writing about tigers!
Maths
We have started to look at addition and used part-whole models to help us. We've started to write numbers sentences and will continue with addition after half term.
Science
This week we have learnt about a scientist called Charles Macintosh who invented the Macintosh coat using waterproof fabric.
Topic
This week we finished our self-portraits using our sketching skills. We also had a visitor from an artist called Andrew Hill. He helped us to use clay to create sculptures of ourselves! We will be inviting you into school to see these and our sketchbooks after half term.
