On the 20th March we will be celebrating Comic Relief. Children are invited to wear something red or a red nose and if you can spare a food item we would kindly accept it as a donation to The Brick.

🌻 This week 🌻
We have had a busy week as always this week in the Sunflower Room. We have made the most of the lovely weather and enjoyed lots of activities in the garden. We have been for a walk around the environment and as you will see we had a fantastic time on the hill, one of our favourite places on a warm dry day. And as we are now in spring we have had lots of spring time activities. And no to forget we have celebrated World Book Day.

Today we had lots of energy so we decided to make the most of the lovely dry weather and go and have lots of fun on 'the hill' at the side of school. The children love to play on here. They all ran to the top of the hill with Vanessa and after a ready, steady, go they all ran down. After a while of running up and down the hill the children began to find different ways of getting down. Some children rolled down it whilst other sat on their bottoms and shuffled their way down. When we were at the top we put our arms out so that we could feel the wind on our hands and faces. We loved how it was blowing our hair. Another favourite thing to do on the hill is to wave at the people and cars that go past. We all get very excited when we get a wave back or the toot of a horn.

Today was World Book Day. A big thankyou for sharing this day with us. The children all looked fantastic and they have enjoyed lots of stories with us as well as our tasty snack.
To go with todays theme of the Hungry Caterpillar we had lots of fruit just like the caterpillar for our snack whilst Vanessa read us the story. The children really enjoyed tasting all of the delicious fruits as the story went on.

Today we went to the alps on a bear hunt. The children enjoyed putting on their pretend binoculars and hunting for our Sunflower Room bear.
