Notices

A little reminder about our door times. We understand that mornings can be hectic, which may affect when you arrive at nursery, especially if you have work or other children to drop off at school. The door times are in place to support your child's routine and to help them to feel settled.

Door times
8.20
8.30
8.45
9am

If you plan to arrive at 9 o'clock, we kindly ask that you aim to get here for 9am. We begin our carpet time and tooth brushing at 9. Arriving on time helps us run these activities smoothly and allows our staff to focus on setting up for the day without interruptions.

Buddy The Bear

The children are looking forwards to taking Buddy the Bear back home with them. Buddy is also going to bring a book with him for you to enjoy with your child at home either during the day or as a bedtime story, to help them to settle down at night. Reading with your child is very important, especially at this age, as it helps your child to develop their own vocabulary and communication skills, and it furthers their learning. We will send Buddy home on your child's last day in nursery that week. If you could fill in Buddy's book and return him on your child's next day in nursery after the weekend, that would be very helpful, so we can send him home with the next child. Thank you.

This week

We had an amazing week! We enjoyed reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," and the children had a great time with this fun story. During our wellbeing time, we also explored our feathers, blowing on them and feeling their soft texture on our skin. We have been making the most of the weather and getting out for walks around the environment. The children have enjoyed blowing sugar stealers and bringing some back to nursery for their friends to enjoy.

Birthday girl

We celebrated a birthday in the sunflower room this week. We all sang happy birthday, and we were all very lucky to have some birthday cake to celebrate with.

Star of the day

A big well done to our stars of the day this week

Wednesday

Apologies for there not being many photographs from today. The children had a lovely day in the garden playing in the mud kitchen, the sand, building towers and running around. In the afternoon, some children went to the hall for PE. They did some dancing, and they practised their colours with the different coloured hoops. We took a group out for a walk around the environment whilst the weather was nice. The children enjoyed picking up sugar stealers and blowing or shaking them, and watching them float away in the breeze. We brought back plenty for the other children in the Sunflower room to explore as well.
