Notices

Can we ask that you make sure that your child's name is on their coat, drinks bottles, lunch boxes etc. We encourage children to be independent in the Sunflower room. Unfortunately, items can get mixed up when they are trying to put their coat on their coat pegs, lunch bags into the red box and tidying up after their lunch. Thank you for your help.

Half Term

Half-term, just a reminder that we finish on Friday 22nd for half-term. We will reopen on the 2nd June at our normal time.

This week

This week we have continued reading our story The Hungry Caterpillar. We looked at the different food that the caterpillar eats. In creative play this week, the children chose which food they would like to stick on to their caterpillar. There was lots of talk about healthy fruits and vegetables. We were using our big muscles bouncing on the trampoline with Vanessa and Jayne. At the creative table we had lots of fun with the play dough poking, dropping, stretching, squeezing, patting, and we even used our elbows to make marks. This is a great activity to encourage fine motor skills ready for those all-important writing skills. Try this at home. The children loved it. You could also search for dough disco on YouTube.
