What a busy week!
Maths
In maths we have been looking at counting forwards from any given number and finding one more than that number.
Try this game:

Choose count on and back, then 1-10
English
In English this week we have finished our work on The Gruffalo with the children writing a description of the Gruffalo! We had some great ideas.
Science
In science we looked at the properties of materials and thought of words to describe them like hard, soft, rough, smooth, bendy, stretchy etc.
Topic
This week we looked at how toys have changed over time. We found out that older toys used to be handmade and made from materials like wood and metal and their moving parts tend to be clockwork. Whereas newer toys can be charged or have batteries, tend to be mass produced in factories and use materials like plastic.
Computing
This week we learnt about algorithms being a clear set of instructions and we created our own algorithms for the song, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
PE
We practised moving by skipping this week and continued to focus on our throwing skills.
Have a lovely weekend!
