It's been another busy week in Year 1. We have had a fabulous week of learning.
English
In English we have been continuing working on our class story of 'Jack and the Beanstalk’. This week we have been imitating the story and creating a new version with a different main character and villain.
Maths
In Maths this week we have been working on our addition and subtraction. Using different methods to solve problems: like number lines and counters with tens frames.
Science
In Science we have been learning more about the different groups of animals: reptiles, mammals, fish, amphibians and birds. We have been learning about their different characteristics.
Topic
Our Topic this week has been learning about healthy eating. Designing our own sandwiches, making them and then evaluating the outcome. We were very pleased with how they turned out.
