Welcome back!
English
This week we have returned our focus on the Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. We have been looking at the cold setting, collecting adjectives to describe it and including some and sentences in our description.
Maths
In maths this week we have focused on subtraction. We have been able to take away using tens frames and part whole models using counters to help us. Then we even introduced using a number line to subtract by jumping backwards.
Science
In science this week our focus was on the vocabularly we use when talking about the seasons. We talked about what is meant by the words day, temperature, seasons and changes across the seasons.
Topic
In topic this week we looked at different maps of Montrose Avenue. We learnt about what a key was and created a key to match the map of Montrose Avenue.
