What a lovely last week we have had in Year 1. We have been busy finishing off our topic of first steps by completing our DT project.
English
In English we have explored poetry by reading a 'colour poem’. We have learnt the text and inovated it by creating our own colour poem. We thought of objects of the same colour and came up with adjectives to describe them.
Maths
In Maths this week we have finished looking at mass and started looking at shape. We have sorted 2D and 3D shapes along with exploring patterns.
Topic
This week we have used our first steps space topic as a theme to complete our DT project. We have made a moving picture using either a slider or lever to make an image move across a background. We evaluated our project by thinking about what went well and how we would impove it if we made one again.
