Hello and welcome to the final blog for this half-term.
Our book of the week was Whatever Next by Jill Murphy. We have used this to platform discussions about space and the moon. The Class also loved turning boxes into their own rockets as baby bear does in the book.
Our mathematic focus this week has been writing, tracing and copying the numerals for numbers 1 - 9.
We are continuing to get school ready by using the phonics knowledge we learnt this year to match objects with their initial letter sound. For example, 'b' for baby.
For Friday afternoon snack, the class helped to make butter for their crackers. This involves placing double cream into a sealed jar and shaking it until it changes. This takes only a few minutes when using room temperature double cream. The children loved this activity and reviewed their butter at 100 stars.
We are still adding to our calm breathing book. This week we focused on rainbow breathing, lifting and lowering our arms as we breathed in and out for every colour of the rainbow.
To see the games children took part in for PE and other fun activities we have been up to, to help us learn, please explore the pictures below.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read through our class blog. And thank you for your patience as we get to grips with the new blog system. For any missing pictures, we will continue to work to address this.
Thank you – The Reg 2 Team.
